Recently when I caught up with a man of many parts. The debonair DG of the Cross River State Electrification Agency, Stanley Boyce Nsemo .
One of the things I often commend Ayade for is giving the younger generation a chance to serve.
The former DG of the state’s signage & advertisement agency, is one of the very few successes of this novel, ‘digital’ experiment. Unlike some others who have developed a notoriety for leaving establishments bequeathed them in tatters, Stanley leaves wherever he’s opportune to handle, better than he meets it.
I’m aware he’s silently delivering on the many mandates of the state’s electrification agency- hitherto dormant street lights that dot the Calabar metropolis, have quietly sprung to life.
Remote areas all around the state are slowly but surely, being connected to the grid. Transformers are being distributed & hooked-up across the nooks and crannies of the People’s Paradise, all thanks to the industry of DG Stanley Nsemo.
Asides being a high flying administrator, he has proven his capacity in politics in recent years- he has that rare ability to mix and flow with both the high, middle class and lowly. It’s safe to call him one of the pillars of politics in Calabar municipality.
I’m glad because I envisioned all these and more when I profiled him some four years back;

PS: From my little understanding, this agency exists to complement the efforts of the PHCN- their mandates overlap/intersect at some point. But they operate & synergize(with the PHCN) more in the Distribution & Transmission subsectors; little or nothing to do together in Generation.
