The Cross River Youth Arise Movement (CRSYAM) is set to hold its launching soon.
Speaking over the weekend with Emalujireport , the DG, CRS YOUTH ARISE MOVEMENT, Comrade Prince David said the movement is set to hold its state lunching come January 2021.
CRS YOUTH ARISE MOVEMENT (CRSYAM)
Is a non governmental organization and a movement towards political awakening of youths borne out of their strong desire to take the future by their hands.
The DG pressed futher that the youths of cross River state through this body (CRSYAM) are prepared to endorse, support and get involved in the election of qualified candidates into political offices in the state to guarantee good governance, and set up a people oriented government wherein imposition of candidates on the people will be completely eliminated, constructive criticism will be welcomed and the opposition will be recognized as partners in political progress and not as enemies of the state.
“Our mission is to institute a transparent electoral process void of vote buying and selling, encourage youth and women participation for inclusive governance”
“Those making up the large numbers in the movement and the present and future activities of the movement” he said.
CRS YOUTH ARISE MOVEMENT is made up of vibrant and concerned youths, men and women from across the 18 local government areas of the State irespective of age bracket.
We seek to build and mobilize support for credible political candidates irrespective of political party or financial standing
“Our interest includes, pointing the search light into CRS democratic norms with the hope of making positive contributions and encourage participatory governance culture.”
CRS YOUTH ARISE MOVEMENT will mobilize youths for the purpose of sensitizing them and setting their focus on the course of regaining Cross River State’s lost glory.
“We will form a formidable team that will protect and advocate for the rights and interest of credible leaders across the 18 local government making up CRS even as we have already set up leadership structures across the 18 local government areas and their various wards” he added
Voiceofyala went futher to ask what prompted or the driving force behind the CRS YOUTH ARISE MOVEMENT
DGs response, We are driven by the following concerns in our dear state:
1. High level of unemployment.
2. Poor infrastructural development.
3. Inadequate power supply and lack of it in some cases.
4. Fallen standard of education.
5. Negligence of our youths and Imposition of wrong candidates to the electorade thereby leading to none performance.
7.. Failed electorial promises by our elected political leaders
6. Insecurity amongst others.
Talking of unemployment, what are the plans of the CRS YOUTH ARISE MOVEMENT?
CRS YOUTH ARISE MOVEMENT will partner with Rural Community Based Groups (RCBG) to host capacity building projects for the purpose of empowering CRS youths thereby reducing the rate of unemployment and hunger in the state .
Our goal is to get CRS working and Cross Riverians smiling again, irrespective of political affiliation.
When is the date and venue of the much anticipated state lunching?
Soon, we will announce the date and venue for our state launching as soon as we are done with modalities, but it will sure be in the central of CRS where both the CR SOUTH and CR NORTH delegates can access easily.
