DISCLAIMER! DISCLAIMER!! DISCLAIMER!!!
We write with so much regrets from the secretariate of National Association of Nigerian Students; NANS Cross River State Axis, and through my office as Director for External Affairs NANS ZONE B also doubling as the highest ranking office holder in the state to State the following;
1. That we as an entity have never in anyway consciously or unconsciously nominated any Hon. Legor O. Idagbor for any award of honor or any other category.
2. That the aforementioned Honorable has NEVER done anything for NIGERIAN STUDENTS nor his constituents to deserve such a National recognition/award.
3. That the ‘said’ Honorable is known for squandering allocations meant for constituency projects on luxury and sharing same with his cronies. Thus, not delivering the dividends our treasured/hard earned democracy to his constituents, constituency and Cross River State at large!
4. That the Honorable whom is known for not supporting STUDENTS and has in no way affected the lives of Nigerian Students DOES NOT AND WILL NOT BE HONORED BY NIGERIAN STUDENTS FROM THE STATE in the guise that there is nothing Honorable about this Honorable in particular!
4. That the Comrade Helen Efenji is not an office holder in the state or zone and lacks the lock standi and constitutional rights not only to nominate, but even to lead unknown Students leaders to present a piece of artwork to the aforementioned Honorable!
5. That the aforementioned Comrade is only an appointee; as Director for Gender to the indefatigable Coordinator of NANS ZONE B Comr. Jeremiah Friday. Hence she remains incapacitated to act in that vain!
6. That the Senators, JCC Chairman; Comr. Mbang Confidence SAS,CNS, the Zonal organogram, and Stakeholders cut across all strata of the Organization; NANS are not intandem with the award given to aforementioned Honorable!
7. That at the Zonal Stakeholders meeting held on the 9th of October 2020, in Benin, Edo State, comrades frowned at act displayed by Helen Efenji and upon deliberations declared the award undeserving and thus not acknowledged by Nigerian Students and the award is null and void!
8. That the National PRESIDENT Comr. Danielson Bamidele Akpan, the presidency and entire secretariate of NANS and Nigerian Students are not aware of this award that is so undeserving handed to Hon. Legor.
9. That From the state, We had in collaboration with stakeholders submitted names of worthy leaders to the Secretariate/Presidency that merit/deserve award of Honor,Credence and Service! And that Hon. Legor WAS NOT ENLISTED!
10. Hence, through my office as Director for External Affairs of NANS ZONE B and as one of the highest office holder of NANS in the state, I am bound by the constitution of NANS to declare the said purported award INVALID and it remains a piece of art work in the hands of the aforementioned Honorable! Lest I say again with Emphasis that Hon. Legor is NOT in any way a Patron of our organization NANS either in the state or Zone! He has not done ANYTHING worthy to DESERVE this such a prestigious and sacred status to be conferred on him!
Thank you Nigerian Students for the support we have enjoyed thusfar at the State and Zonal level… we are indeed indebted to all of! And we have sworn to an oath never to SELL this STRUGGLE!
WE WILL KEEP STANDING TOGETHER and in so STANDING we shall overcome our oppressors!
I remain your favourite Comrade,
Akobi Nelson Afo
Director for External Affairs NANS ZONE B
(South-South and South-East Tertiary institutions).
